"BARBECUE FLAVORS AND PREPARATIONS VARY GREATLY THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES. AND TO ME, THEY’RE ALL MOUTHWATERINGLY GREAT. BUT HAVING SPENT A LARGE PART OF MY LIFE IN THE CAROLINAS, I AM PARTIAL TO CAROLINA BARBECUE. MUSTARD AND VINEGAR ARE TWO OF MY FAVORITE BARBECUE INGREDIENTS. I JUST LOVE HOW THEIR TANG AND ZING OFFSET THE REQUISITE SWEETNESS. AND I COULDN’T SERVE UP BBQ WITHOUT SOME OF MY FAVORITE SIDES, DRESSED UP WITH A LITTLE EXTRA GOODNESS. I’VE ADDED SOME HEAT AND CHEESINESS TO THE CORNBREAD AND A LITTLE ONIONY CRUNCH TO MY CREAMED GREENS. IT’S COMFORT FOOD AT ITS BEST!" — DAINA FALK
