Romano Pork Medallions and Zaatar Fries
Chargrilled pork tenderloin medallions are served with Pecorino Romano Cream sauce. Accompanied by Za’atar Oven Fries and Braised Cannellini Beans.
Chargrilled Pork Tenderloin Medallions – Seared to perfection. Pork tenderloin is certified with the American Heart Association’s “Heart Check” mark, indicating it qualifies as an extra-lean, heart-healthy protein. Ounce for ounce, pork tenderloin is as lean as a skinless chicken breast. A 3-ounce portion of pork tenderloin contains less than 3 grams of fat and 120 calories. Pork tenderloin is an excellent source of protein, thiamine, vitamin B6, phosphorus and niacin.
Pecorino Romano Cream Sauce – Pecorino is one Italy’s oldest cheeses, a hard salty cheese that is combined with Parmesan and grated into our cream sauce. A six- year study found that Pecorino Romano cheese is not only tasty, but is good for you too. Pecorino Romano cheese, made from sheep’s milk, is high in healthy fats essential to a nutritious diet. Pecorino cheese contains high amounts of omega 3 fatty acids and conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), unsaturated fatty acids naturally found in certain food groups that have proven to be very healthy. Omega 3’s are beneficial in preventing cardiovascular diseases, improving immune function, reducing inflammation, improving vision and learning, and slowing down mental deterioration. Antioxidant and cancer-fighting properties are among the health benefits attributed to CLA, which has also shown to prevent arteriosclerosis, is beneficial in improving bone formation and reducing body fat, suppressing diabetes, preserving muscle tissue and stimulating immune function. Za’atar Oven Fries – Sumac, Sesame Seeds, Sea Salt – Eastern Mediterranean za’atar is an intensely aromatic and ancient spice blend and condiment. The mixture is traditionally made with dried herbs such as marjoram or thyme (the Arabic word za’atar, pronounced ZAH-tahr, also means “thyme”), we make ours with sumac for a vibrant twist. Heating Directions From Frozen:
Stove Top: (Preferred Method) Bring water to a boil. Immerse pouch(es) in water, reduce heat to simmer and heat for 10 minutes. Side dishes and sauces (if included) require only 4½ to 5 minutes in the same pot.
Microwave: (Alternative Method) Pierce hole in plastic film for venting. Place pouches on a microwave safe dish and heat on high for 4 to 4½ minutes, or until heated through Let product stand for 1 – 2 minutes before enjoying.
Oven: (Not Recommended)
In the event your meal is not fully reheated after removal from the pouches, you may continue reheating in a microwave on a microwave safe dish until done – which should be no more than another minute or two. An internal temperature of 158° F must be reached. Appliances vary, adjust accordingly.
